Vintage Cut-Work Earrings

Nan's vintage serving tray never looked better.

When I first cut around the designs, it reminded me of so much of cut-work embroidery.

I have hand sawn ovals from a vintage serving tray. Then sawn the negative space around the design.

The result is really quite stunning, and give the effect of vintage cut work embroidery.

Each earring is totally unique, due to the place on the tray that it was cut from. This means that each single earring can't be replicated, giving you a one-of-a-kind pair of earrings.

Total length including sterling hooks 4.7cm.

Nice and comfortable to wear, perfect for any occasion, casual or formal.

They can be worn facing each other like in the photos, for facing the opposite way.

These earrings can be gently cleaned with a soft cloth and silver polish. I have found that old flannelette sheets make the best polishing cloths, nice and soft.

Like many pieces I create out of vintage or used items, they carry signs of a previous well loved life, which makes each piece perfectly imperfect.

Serving dishes used to create this piece is silver plate, unless stated otherwise.

Do not wear while swimming, soaking or showering, or spray with perfume etc.

Will come in a gift box, that I have crafted from 100% upcycled materials.
