For this stunner it has been well over two years since I last made a Kowhai Shadow Locket. Not your "average" Vintage Coin Jewellery!

As with the Huia, to me they remind me so much of the shadow box that used to hang on the wall in my Nans home.

4 vintage Two cent coins have been used to create this beauty, random dates, I have lined them all up, so the Kowhai on the lid is in line with the Kowhai on the inside and the bottom.

I have taken great care to cut around the Kowhai, all cut edges have been smoothed and polished. Light patina maintained on the Kowhai on the lid to show off all the intricate detail of the design.

Closure, hinge and rings are all sterling silver.

I have applied 3 coats of Renaissance wax, this helps to protect the bronze coins from tarnishing so fast. A wee pot of this was is included with the locket. Instruction video is on my facebook page.

Can be gently clean with a soft cloth and silver polish.

The locket does not come with a chain, if one is required please send me a message and I will update this listing.

Like many pieces I create out of vintage items, they carry signs of a previous well loved life, which makes each piece perfectly imperfect.

Do not wear while swimming, soaking or showering, or spray with perfume etc.

This sweet locket will come in a gift box, that I have crafted from 100% upcycled materials.
