Unique Vintage Silver & Ruby Signet Ring

This sweet signet ring has been handcrafted from 100% vintage sterling silver, and two lab grown Rubies.

I take casting wax and carve the shape of the signet ring. This is then pressed into delft casting clay, this leaves the impression of the wax ring. The two rubies have then been placed in the impression. Molten vintage sterling silver is then poured into the mold, the molten silver surrounds each stone, but not quite completely. This is what gives such a unique look to the ring, this process is "cast in place".

Once cast it's time for the big clean up, this style of ring is perfectly imperfect which make each and every one unique. There will be little imperfection from the clay casting process, this is all part of what makes the piece one of a kind.

This lovely is so comfortable to wear.
Inner diameter is 17.5mm.

This ring can be gently cleaned with a soft cloth and silver polish.
