Patu Threepence Coin Earrings

Having fun with the slice earrings again.

This pair have been handcrafted from NZ threepence coins, featuring the Patu.

Once sliced the pieces are matched back up, then soldered together with hard silver solder for strength, and yes the joins are strong.

Some of the patina has been left which beautifully highlights the Patu.

I craft my own sterling silver hooks by recycling vintage sterling silver, forming it into wire to make the hooks.

Total length including sterling silver hooks 6cm.
